Rustic and Duplex Cabins

New “duplex” cabins (pictured here) were added to the camp’s lodging options two years ago. These delightful, efficient three-room structures have 8 single beds (some bunks) in each of the two larger rooms and a small room in the center with 2 beds. The wooden frame beds have foam pad mattresses. There are screens and wooden shutters on the windows and a porch light, but no electricity in the larger rooms. The small rooms do have an outlet. The duplex cabins are about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the main activity areas. The duplex cabins are usually chosen quickly. Sorry, no reservations for particular cabins. First come, first...well, you know.

The rustic (and we do mean rustic) Miniwanca cabins are historic and quaint. It’s easy to imagine generations of kids tucking in for the night after fun-filled summer days. Most of the rustic cabins are a short walk (1 to 5 minutes, depending on your cabin choice) from the dining lodge and main activity area. They have 6 to 10 single beds (some bunks) with foam mattresses. The wood frame cabins have canvas flaps over the window, but no screens and no electricity. There are plenty of rustic cabins, so groups need not share unless they choose to.

All cabins are close to modern bath houses. When you have chosen a cabin, place a towel or another personal item over the door to alert others that your cabin is occupied.
